Assuming you use amd64 (adjust the paths if necessary for i386):
# mv /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/systemd-shim /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/systemd-shim.orig
Then copy the attached wrapper script to /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/
and make it executable.
