AFAIK no. And if that would be the case, there would be no need for usb-
modeswitch. If you're looking for a database of culprit hardware, then that 
_is_ usb-modeswitch-data. Dropping that pair from "all but unusual 
installations" leaves users with these culprit dongles in the blind without a 
way to know (or guess fwiw) that they would need "usb-modeswitch".
