FWIW, the GCC 4.0.3 Status Report (2006-01-15) says, "It's interesting
to note that there are 95 serious regressions against 4.0.3 and only
63 against 4.1.0; although 4.0.3 has surely had more usage, this does
suggest that 4.1.0 is in reasonably good shape". Obviously, GCC 4.1
is not free of bugs though. A more recent report, GCC 4.1 Status
Report (2006-04-16), says that there "are 101 "serious" (P3 or higher)
regressions against GCC 4.1, the vast majority of which also apply to
4.2" and moves the release date of 4.1.1 from April 28 to May 15.
