Experimental works fine for prominent packages that have a lot of
version number junkies following every time the lead developer blows
his nose.

Experimental, sadly, does not work at all for important core packages
that are installed on every system and which have the potential of
causing huge breakages, like adduser and passwd. Nobody seems to care
about these. But hell breaks loose when they break.
