Those other kernels dpkg arch aren't "i386", they will be one of the
following:

darwin-i386
freebsd-i386
hurd-i386
kfreebsd-i386
netbsd-i386
knetbsd-i386
openbsd-i386

So they don't need depends on a kernel either, they just need their arch
line to be set for the proper archs they support.
