Well as an interested bystander and Debian user I can tell you the 
picture that is forming in my mind is not a very pretty one. I've 
watched the ftp masters jump into the thread just long enough to throw 
some more gas on the fire then leave without addressing the issues at 
hand, seen people told to shut up and go away we don't need your help 
and watched the project leader engage in a childish game of tit-for-tat 
with his there is no secret cabal it must be your secret cabal posts. 
From where I'm sitting I think there is enough twitism (I highly doubt 
that even is a word) to go around in the whole situation on all sides.
