Seriously.

Yes, Goswin is being a twit, no matter how he justifies it, and I think
nobody would expect the ftp-masters or whoever to be polite to him.

But as an innocent bystander with an interest in seeing the Debian
project succeed, I really wish that someone in a position of power (the
ftp-masters, the DPL, _somebody_) would step in and address the issues
(real or imagined) he's raised.

How about a nice letter from an ftp-master saying "Goswin, you're a jerk,
but for the rest of you reading this, here's how things stand ..."?

[I know it's annoying to be forced to grease a unnecessarily squeaky wheel,
but come on, by now it's woken up all the neighbors...]
