With the rise in spam, ISP's make it much harder to set up an MTA than
to get a simple web connection up. I have a basic pppoe connection to
the net, but on top of that to send mail I had to set up postfix (after
trying to get multiple MTAs to do this) to authenticate me and rewrite
my envelope. This took weeks worth of work and while I'm no email guru
I'm not clueless either. Web based email was no problem during these
many frustrating weeks, but SMTP too a long time to nail down properly.
