That's going to be difficult, as it's hard to tell the browser to treat

   Content-Encoding: x-gzip, Content-Type: text/plain

as you want for display, which is correct, but then not to gunzip it
for saving. It would be nice, though, if browsers were smart enough to
realize that if they've gunzip'd the entity, they ought strip '.gz' from
the name.
