I'm Hiro, a developer of PRIME.  At first, thank you for your
correction in the description and sorry for my late reply.

PRIME supports several typing methods including Romaji.
Correctly, PRIME uses a library named Suikyo (means 'a water mirror'
which is a homonym of 'crazy' in Japanese) to support various typing
methods.

It's not so hard to use PRIME for other languages, where there're
dictionaries of those languages.  For good prediction, I hope the
dictionaries have 'part of speech' and 'frequency' fields, though
PRIME works with only literal words without them.  Unfortunately, I'm
not sure whether those dictionaries with POS and frequency are
available freely.  So if someone knows URLs we can get them from,
please let me know.

IMHO, I have no idea whether PRIME is useful in European-languages.
Because the typing cost is quite lower than Japanese or other
languages which needs conversion steps.  Anyway I believe it would be
useful for cell phones and PDAs, and as an accessibility software.
