I don't personally, but tons of people do. You know why? The software in
stable is too out of date for them, and either they don't know about
backports or consider the hassle of using them to be greater than that
of using testing or unstable. You can scoff at it all you want, but the
fact is that it's a real problem for people and the fact that backports
are necessary at all is just a really shitty workaround for the actual
issue.
