You are mixing up advantages with marketing blabla or are comparing
postfix with sendmail.
small:

Yes, both include lots of documentation and neither is big.
fast, it scales beautifully:
In the first place MTA performance is a non-issue for 99 percent of
all hosts, in the second place exim does not seem to be much slower,
if tuned correctly.
it's very flexible:
That describes exim perfectly.
it's very easy to configure:
Exim is, too.
Exim is documented a lot better (Yes, I have compared it) and offers
wonderful debugging mechanisms (That is what you get on the pro-side
for being one executable).
One of the nicest things about postfix is imho, that it is better
adapted to binary redistribution because all the separate
lookups (-ldap, -mysql, ...) are available as very small add-on
modules, while exim has to actually link against the libraries.
