I just tried my first build with it, and it fails:

Copying source file

    -> copying [/space/tmp/mdz/debian/work/flac/test/flac_1.0.4.orig.tar.gz]

Extracting source
unable to get login information for username "mdz" at /usr/lib/dpkg/controllib.pl line 56.

I can work around this by exporting LOGNAME=root in /etc/pbuilderrc.

For short builds, perhaps, but I would think the speed penalty would
dominate in long builds. Patching the host kernel with the skas patch would
greatly improve the speed; the current user-mode-linux package inlcudes skas
support.
