Single Unix Specification doesn't talk about it.  POSIX says what
happens when the arg argument contains whitespace is unspecified.

HPUX 11, SCO Openserver 5, and Solaris 8 all ignore trailing
whitespace on that line. 

I don't have access to other machines at the moment to test, but it
definitely appears NetBSD is the odd one out.
