The last time I looked at libeditline, it did not look very good,
and the packaging of it was not very good either.

It is possible to divert the shared library, but I 
recommend against it. I have been through this already with 
slang.

"Compatible ABI" usually isn't.

Since it is a license violation in the upstream level,
I recommend asking the upstream to fix their bugs.
