There are a lot of long standing old bugs against this package. Some of
them with patches. I would consider it to be a good idea if somebody
who has access to the relevant architectures try to fix the RC bugs
and prepare a NMU. It might be that the maintainer has time
constraints which do not enable him to care about apmd himself
temporarily.
