Or just unpacked. Some of the reasons I like the .deb-Format ist that
you can do an simple ar -x *.deb && tar -xvvzf data.tgz filename  to get 
any file in it without installing it. (Escpecially usefull to
inofficial packages you do not trust. You will want to see the
scripts run as root when installing before installing.)
