Ok, after some times with /proc/sys/net/ipv4/tcp_ecn set to 0,
it worked. Anyway I strongly suggest to modify this setting ASAP in
procps. Moreover this is required only for kernel 2.4.5+  (why?
Maybe it was turned on only after that release)
And www.compaq.com (maybe) is not a minor site...
And sometimes www.debian.org, too (due to BGP routing choices)

I missed the previous thread. This bug rep should be merged with 
110875  and others, maybe.
