An annoying default indeed imho. Which is why I have the following in my
.muttrc:
# Reset the hdr_format so lists are displayed normally instead of with the
# listname; procmail already does the splitting for us.
set hdr_format="%4C %Z %{%b %d} %-15.15F (%4l) %s"
