mga.o version 3.0.x

After install of XFree86-4.1.0 in unstable the kernel module for mga
is outdated,

[dri] mga.o kernel module version is 2.0.1 but version 3.0.x is needed.
[dri] Disabling DRI.

This applies for both kernel 2.4.0 and the recently built 2,4.7.

Do I have to download the whole (or parts of) XFree86 tree from
dri.sourceforge.net or (xfree86.org) and compile my own mga.o or is it
available from somewhere? In case of a manual compile, which version
of XFree86 to download, the stock 4.1.0, CVS or is Debian maintainer
using some intermediate version.

Is there a Debian specific solution to this problem?
A search on the debian site gave no recent mga.o found in
XFree86, only in kernels.
