Redhat's sndconfig is packages for Debian and is in woody and sid. It
works fairly well, but not perfectly. I've been thinking about rewriting
it from scratch and use libdetect instead of kudzu as a basis. However,
this would most probably have to be done in a broader framework of a
"Debian Hardware Detection and Setup" procedure/package, and at the
moment I just don't have the time to look deeper into this.
