The dpkg-source that was included in dpkg-dev 1.8.0 thru 1.8.1 could not
extract source that it had built. 1.8.1.1 could extract source it had built,
but the dpkg-source in versions before 1.8.0 could not(ie, potato has
1.6.15). This problem was fixed in 1.8.1.2, by reverting the changes done in
the bad versions.
All developers who have any of the dpkg 1.8 series should upgrade to 1.8.1.2,
which was just installed into the archive. It has not yet been sent out to
the mirrors yet, however.
