Funny. How much time will it cost you if your idiotic proposal is accepted?
Perhaps a few hours for moving stuff around or something like that. Probably
you don't need non-free software. It's easy to say we have to yank it then.

I have to use software from non-free. And I will need time to move anything
to the new scheme whichever that is. Now thing AGAIN who is selfish here.

You want to damage the work of a lot of maintainers only for political
reasons. If we leave everything as it is what will change for you? Nothing.
You can just continue to ignore non-free. And you call Drake selfish?

I can't count the number of people to whom I suggested using Debian. They
are all enjoying the benefits of Debian but some of them need non-free
software. Of course I asked them what they need and told them about free
alternatives. Sometimes no alternative is available. But that is not a
problem. Everything is available in non-free, they just need to go around and
search on the Debian website. And now we yank non-free and they have
to search the web for the packages. I don't expect that to raise my
plausibility. So I am probably selfish because I don't want to look like
an idiot?

Last not least I don't want to spend my time on flame wars and senseless
discussions like this. But I had to read all these mails because I am
interested in Debian. I would really like to go just ahead to the voting
process, count the votes and stay with non-free. If we are getting a
majority for the removal of non-free I probably joined the wrong project.

Thanks

    Torsten
