But it certainly means removing all packages that are in contrib because they
depends on something non-free.

I'm sorry, but IMO this is ridiculous.

But it's still difficult to make it technically right without non-free.
There simply IS software that is has no free replacement.

Please prove that!

Don't get me wrong. I'm all for free software or else wouldn't spend so much
time on Debian and other projects. But we cannot abandon non-free unless we
are able to replace it!

If your are able to prove that you can replace all the software in question
we can talk again.
