Who has success with Emacs? (Was: Emacs-20.5 refuses to start under X)

Hello,

according to the fact that there is so less response to my grave
Emacs20 problem, I'd like to ask
  >> Is there anybody who is able to run the latest Emacs20
     packages together with the XFree-3.3.6 packages?? <<
I suspect a bug which makes Emacs20 unusable under X but if this would
be the case, more traffic according to this topic would occure.  So
I wonder if I did break my own system in any way and all others
have no problems?  But I did not do anything than using dselect
to intall the latest packages.

It's really annoying to be three days without Emacs :-((.
