I actually doubt there are many programs that hardcode X11R6.
Remember, Solaris was still X11R5-based until, if I remember
correctly, 2.6, maybe 2.7 (aka 7.0).
I'm not sureother vendors have even gotten that far.
And finally, most (not all) non-GNU X stuff builds with imake, which
should take care of the issue, I think.
