Listening to the talk at the SANE last year held by Guido van Rooij, a
core FreeBSD developer, I got the impression that it is not a dead-end
path. They are developing and they are proud of it.

But still several people prefer to use FreeBSD instead of Linux. Even a
Debian Linux advocate that I know only uses FreeBSD for his servers.

There is a simple reason: variety. I would be very proud if we would
also build Debian GNU/FreeBSD. If there are people who want to work
on this, I would be glad to welcome them.
