Shouldn't. Estimate about 200 lines of logging for a huge install/upgrade
which wont happen much. That's over a 30 minute to 2 hour period depending
on the size of the install/upgrade and the speed of the machine. Small
things (one package installs) usually wont have anything to log or will
only be a couple lines.
My answer would be no noticable performance loss.
