I thought this was an artefact of the mbr package, myself - but I'm not
sure whether the base floppies include this. This is something we
need to fix - RedHat sorts this one out more or less automatically
and also allows you to specify mountpoints for pre-existing file
systems on your machine. Very important indeed if we want to make
Debian user-friendly.
