Loss of color on console in nethack with ncurses 4.2
I'm at a loss myself. Now that we've moved to ncurses 4.2 from 3.4,
nethack's color support on the Linux console no longer works. I've
recompiled Nethack against 4.2 and although color works in an xterm,
it does not work on the Linux console any more.
Is this:
A) a bug in nethack
B) a bug in ncurses
C) both
In the past, I applied Jesse Thilo's patch from
http://res1412523003.res.lehigh.edu/~jthilo/NetHack/nh322-linux.diff.gz
to enable color on the Linux console. Could this need updating
to work with ncurses 4.2?
If someone more familiar with ncurses than I could take a look at this
patch and see if it's doing something obviously wrong for ncurses 4.2,
I'd really appreciate it.
