Re: Debian is not a "main distro"?

I have never run RH. But I am currently helping a friend of mine
configure a RH machine (mainly by running alien --to-rpm on .deb
packages ;-).

I noticed that there are umpteen packages (of several versions) of a
particular piece of software (like ssh, smail etc.) packaged by several
people. This makes me dislike running a RH system. Choosing which RPM
to install is so difficult. It is so much easier with Debian.
