No need to build it by hand that I can see. I needed the tecra disks
to install on my Toshiba Satellite 310CDS, but after that if I use
--zimage to make-kpkg it works fine.

For reasons unknown I have to use --zimage on my desktop too, which is
just a clone with standard motherboard etc.
