Tangentially related to this is the fact that in slink, I'm going to split
xterm into its own package.

The bad news for the above solution is that not all X terminal programs use
the same command line options for things.

I suppose that could be solved with a /usr/bin/xterminal wrapper that
parses the options and does neccessary translations, but *yuck*.

Nevertheless, it's a good idea, I agree.  Get back to me after hamm is
released.  :)
