need help installing Debian on PCMCIA SCSI disk

I'm trying to install Debian to a SyJet SCSI drive.
The SyJet is attached to a APA-1460 A PCMCIA SCSI
adapter. I'd like to install from a cdrom attached
to the same controller. I'm hopefull that this is
possible considering section 5.3 of the PCMCIA HOWTO
indicating that it's possible to boot a Linux root
partition on a PCMCIA drive. I'm know that I'd
have to create a custom installation disk but am
unfamilure with the debian installation disk makeup.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Please respond to me directly as I'm not subscribed
to this list.

Thanks in advance
