If you try to install hamm with the current dpkg, nothing happens.

If we could provide an upgraded version of dpkg which would
install on a bo system, it would install without a problem.

The only trick comes with trying to provide two dpkg upgrades
in hamm.

The problem with a catch-all script is just as serious as the problem
with dpkg -- it doesn't interact well with the current implementation
of dpkg.
