Re: dpkg-genchanges failing - why?

Thanks to those who sent their suggestions.

In the end I managed to decipher the Perl script.  The problem was because
I had numbered the new version 1.3_0.82-1.  The matching inside
dpkg-genchanges did not accept this as a normal package (? -  I don't
really understand what's going on inside there).  

I changed the number to 1.3.0.82 and then it worked.  


Not an entirely satisfactory solution, but good enough I suppose.
