Users uploading packages naturally can't stay anonymous and any
user-contrib section shouldn't be left alone in the wilderness for
security reasons for sure.

Sounds perfect to me.  Either way i'd like to see some more ongoing
updates support for the 'stable' release.  The more official the
better.  But will developers care enough to provide libc5 versions of
their packages too?
