Re: What about a user-contrib directory?



The big feature for me is that I can tell the users I know where the software
came from, and that it is much less likely to contain trojan horses because
of that. Actually, I think people should go through a little pain-in-the-butt
to contribute, just as a test that they care enough. We don't want packages
from people who abandon them on the curbside like an unwanted pet.
