Re: xpm4 and versioned dependencies, proposed solution

Hi!

What's the status of the xpm4/xpm4.7 change? Philippe has filed several
bug reports against packages using xpm4.7 (e.g. #12929):

	Package: xmysql
	Version: <in hamm as of September 14th 1997>

	xmysql depends on xpm4.7 (a particular version of xpm4.7).
	Now that xpm4 (libc5/6) is available, though that it provides
	xpm4.7, the dependency cannot be fullfilled (dpkg cannot handle
	virtual packages with a version).
	xmysql should be recompiled against xpm4.

I'm wondering if I need to rebuild the package now or if this bug is
obsolete.
