/dev on ramdisk
I've heard that the laptop crowd sometimes runs with /dev on a ramdisk,
because not updating the inodes in /dev removes one of the main reasons
to spin up the disk. I have a laptop coming tomorrow (too much time traveling
of late). Is there an existing script to do this? I find that minix
filesystems of over 1024 inodes won't work for me - is that what others are
using?
Thanks
Bruce
