I recompiled tn3270 to use ncurses termcap emulation, and had the same
problem.  So I doubt that's it, but I could be wrong.  I've never done any
termcap programming.

I think ESR's terminal definitions should be just fine.

Can anyone build tn3270 on a different architecture / operating system
and report on whether it works as expected or not?
