What's the status of TWIN?

Hi, I seem to remember someone was struggling to make this monster compile,
is there any way I can keep track of progress? I'd really love to try it
out, but I can't compile it no matter what I do and I don't have time to do
too much (I have my first package to care for and lots of other projects)
