OpusTeX copyright and distribution policy

After briefly examining MusiXTeX and OpusTeX, I found both excellent, (I
*love* how beautiful the musical scores are! ^_^) and I would like to
include both of them in Debian so as not to discriminate against either of
the excellent authors.

As Paul Seelig has suggested, it seems that OpusTeX is more strict in its
copyright and distribution policy. I am not very certain whether OpusTeX
should go into main, contrib or non-free. I have attached the
"00readme.txt" notice in this message.

Also, just to make sure, does MusiXTeX qualify for the main distribution?

Copyright: (from musixdoc.dvi, MusiXTeX User Manual, p.2)
Although one of the authors contested that point once the common work had
begun, MusiXTeX may be freely copied, duplicated and used. However, since
it is intended to be a _freeware_ you are not allowed to sell it, and the
fee you may ask for distributing it must be limited to maintenance,
support and duplication costs. You may take parts of it to include in
other packages, but no packages called MusiXTeX may be distributed under
this name if different from the original distribution (except obvious bug
corrections or text font adaptations for specific implementations).

MusiXTeX may be included in further commercial packages, provided that no
fee is charged for MusiXTeX itself.

Thank you very much for your help.

Dear beta-tester,

OpusTeX is still a beta-test Version and only dedicated for those, who
want to work with and - more important - to work on.
I provide, that you have some experience installing TeX-packages.

The internals and few externals may change substantially until
 version 1.0 comes up !

Report bugs either to mutex@gmd.de or to Andreas_Egler@wob.maus.de
!!! VERY IMPORTANT !!! Tell ALWAYS which version you use.
(Besides: Saying: "xxx doesn't work." is NOT very helpful.
Try to extract a SHORT example and provide it too.)

This version REPLACES all earlier versions.

The .zip and .tar.gz are packed inclusive pathnames !

Hint: Use a temporary drive or path for unpacking. Move the files to your
paths. Write a batch or shell for this kind of doing. Perhaps you will
need it more often.
