Re: kill -9 -1 from non-super user in X hangs Debian
Try hooking up a serial terminal and diagnose it that way before
bothering to file a bug report.
How do you start X? If the X server is running as you, you can
SIGKILL it, and it'll never get a chance to reset the display modes,
so you're scrod... but the default debian installation will have the X
server running as root, so that shouldn't be what is happenning...
