For instance, it makes it more difficult for us to configure mail software to recognize mail that is addresses directly to us. (I'm probably a bit extreme in this: if my mail filter doesn't find my address in the relevant headers, and the mail isn't coming from a mailing list I've subscribed to, it will be dropped automatically.
