Re: Porting linuxconf to Debian? (fwd)

The maintainer of linuxconf just e-mailed me this, somebody might want to
e-mail him, and tell him about what would be required for debian to run
linuxconf. I would like to, but I really don't think I know enough about
how all the init scripts work to make sure it got done right.

Linuxconf is not tied to anything. I consider this a major feature of
linuxconf, other consider it a flaw. let me explain.

I have now the hardware to install Debian (was out of partition) so I will
do this probably tonight. I expect little difficulty running linuxconf in
Debian. I will get back to you when it is done.

btw, have you seen linuxconf, or just read the documentation. I am now
starting to write documentation on some basic principle of linuxconf,
which is fairly different from anything else.

I have great interest in supporting Debian, because I feel it will have
some impact in a near future on the industry.

I will get back to you!
