Yes, please fix the bug by applying the patch to the games team SVN repository:

Once you have done that, create the source package (using
svn-buildpackage), upload it to mentors.debian.net and add the package
to the list of packages needing a sponsor:

http://wiki.debian.org/Games/Sponsors/Queue

You might want to take care of this package in the future, if so,
please add yourself to the Uploaders field.
