If anyone feels that an option besides FD could carry quickly, they
should write a ballot quickly, and propose calling for votes. Indeed,
that precise event has happened: see #770789 for an example.
In the multi-arch case, I personally would have voted FD above all other
options had a ballot been proposed immediately, and I suspect at least
two other people would have also.
