IMO t-p-u is quite different That came from a remark by Russ Albery who mentioned that t-p-u packages do not receive enough testing to imagine that, during freezes, maintainers are more encouraged to use unstable for things not necessarily meant for the release in reparation (and want to get more exposure than the one you get in experimental).
