Hmmm, I probably forgot that one can set a virtual disk dize without having that space for the relevant files on the host machine (at least this is what I suspect you imply)...as I always pre-allocatethe space for "my" virtual hard disks on my test machines. Feel free to test, of course, as long as you stop the installer before it tries to create - and first erase - the 500GB partition...:-)
